It all started in 1992 when I wanted to raise a lamb for slaughtering. I bought a sheep with a lamb at her side, and everything went as it should through the summer. When autumn came, the lamb went to the slaughter, and then I got to thinking..., what to do with the sheep? I did not want to eat her, and I also felt it was wrong to just let her go alone, with no company. So I started looking for a ram, since it is also the way to get more lambs. I asked around by friends to spread the word and find the perfect ram - meaning a kind one, because my sheep are also treated as pets - and then one day, a friend rang - he did not have a sheep for me - but he had some goats which he couldn't keep. And I agreed to take them, thinking that goats was meat as well. Later on a found a ram - and as they say; "The rest is history"...
As you will notice when you look at the pictures below - I do not have just one breed, but a lot, and then the mixing of breeds as well. This is because they are still my pets, and I like to have a nice sight when I look at the field where they graze - and 20 white sheep, is not as nice a sight, as 20 individuals with each their color and appearance. It also makes it a lot easier to see if they are all there...
